🦁 Daniel and the Lions

Now at this time, Darius ruled over the land that Nebuchadnezzar had once ruled. Darius set 120 satraps over his kingdom, and Daniel was one of the 3 high officials over them. But some of the satraps planned against Daniel because they didn't like him as an official, but they couldn't find anything wrong with Daniel, so they tried to make a law that says, “No one shall praise or worship their God for 30 days or they will be thrown into a lion’s den.” Daniel prayed to God 3 times every day. Then the men spied on Daniel and caught him praying to God. They immediately told Darius about it. Darius felt really sorry for Daniel, but according to the laws of the Medes and Persians, “No one can remove a law that has been sealed with the king’s ring and sealed with the king’s name.” Darius had to do it, but he tried his best not to do it, for, he thought that it would end badly. Darius did it. Daniel went inside, but actually, Daniel prayed inside, then, an angel stopped the lions from biting or even scratching Daniel. Then the next day, Darius checked on Daniel, and, to his surprise, Daniel was still alive! Darius was happy! He wanted Daniel to stay alive. Then, the men who accused Daniel were thrown into the lion's den. They were eaten halfway inside the den! That is the end of Daniel and the Lion’s Den, here are the lessons:

  • God can save you under any circumstances that may seem like He might not.
  • Envy when unchecked leads to danger.
  • Pray to God in every situation, and God can save you from anything!
