📖 David and Goliath
1 Samuel 17
The army of Israel was scared. For 40 days a giant named Goliath came out and challenged them. He was over 9 feet tall, with armor and a spear. No one wanted to fight him.
David was just a shepherd boy. He wasn’t a soldier. He came to bring food to his brothers. But when he heard Goliath making fun of God, David got angry.
King Saul said "You can't fight him." But David said, "The Lord who saved me from a lion and a bear will save me from this Philistine."
David refused the heavy armor. He took 5 smooth stones and his sling. He walked out to meet the giant.
Goliath laughed. David shouted back: "You come with sword and spear, but I come in the name of the Lord."
David put a stone in his sling, swung it, and hit Goliath right in the forehead. The giant fell. God gave the victory.
💡 The Lesson
God doesn’t look at size or experience. He looks at faith. What "giant" are you facing today? You don’t have to fight it alone.
